We are located in a brand new building in North Nanaimo with ample parking and public transport access. Kirsten Stålberg

BA. Physio

Graduating in 2004 from LaTrobe University in Australia, where she also taught, Kirsten uses Clinical Pilates, Acupuncture, IMS and real-time ultrasound in her practice.  While treating all forms of injury and chronic complaints, she has advanced pelvic floor training and maintains a special interest in Women’s Health.

Emily MacHattie


Emily completed her Master’s of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia in 2013. She enjoys treating all types of injuries and conditions, but has a special interest in Women’s Health – particularly prenatal and postpartum care.  Emily uses an individualized treatment approach that combines manual therapy, patient education, exercise prescription and potentially dry needling/acupunture.

Lynsey Arkley


Lynsey has been working in the fitness industry for almost 20 years, first as a Personal Trainer and Aerobics/Spinning instructor before discovering Pilates. She trained at both the London and Oxford STOTT Pilates premier training venues before moving to Canada in 2010. Since then she has had two children and has firsthand experience of the pre- and postnatal body, developed a passion for Clinical Pilates as a rehabilitation tool and completed her Level 1 certification. She has over 10 years of experience with rehab clients and loves working with all ages, issues and abilities.

Natasha Cowper


Natasha comes from an active background of dance, competitive swimming, snowboarding and theatre. In 2006, she started studying Pilates with Dianne Miller and continued working there at (the Vancouver Pilates Centre) until 2013. In addition to being a PMA Certified Pilates Teacher,  Natasha has also studied with Eric Franklin and is a Level 1 Franklin Method Educator. Natasha strives to aid her students in discovering more efficient patterns of movement to maximize their physical potential. She believes free & joyful movement is a lifelong pursuit and is grateful for the opportunity to positively impact her students’ on their respective journeys.

Ben McKay


Born in Australia, Ben moved to Canada in 2006, and to Nanaimo in 2016. With a background in logistics and people management, Ben enjoys family life and all Vancouver Island has to offer while managing the day to day operations of TAPESTRY.

Sarah Gray

Office Administrator

Originally from Ontario, Sarah moved to the West Coast in 2014. She has been working administratively in the healthcare industry for over 20 years in various roles. Sarah has a passion for natural therapies and loves learning new modalities to help the body heal holistically. After earning her diploma in Nutritional Consulting at the Alive Academy of Natural Health, she is now a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, a Registered Natural Nutrition Clinical Practitioner and a Certified Reiki Master.
