Pelvic Floor Therapy

A specially trained physiotherapist assesses a woman’s pelvic floor for dysfunction which can include: prolapse, pelvic pain and incontinence.  Many women believe they are doing the right thing by doing pelvic floor contractions, but are doing them incorrectly, or may not actually need them.  The assessment is in a private room and is conducted after an initial consult where you can ask questions and become familiar with the therapist.  The assessment does include a pelvic exam, where the therapist assesses your pelvic floor via palpation.
